Rescued Kitten

I had a dentist appointment yesterday and arrived early before they opened. So I waited outside the office on a bench until they arrived. Just as I saw the dentist and his sister coming, I heard loud meowing. So I walked around into the landscaping towards the meowing. I found a tiny kitten, so I picked him up and took him into the office with me. The dentist and his sister are friends of mine, so they didn't mind, and found a big box for the kitten.

We noticed his paw was limp, but weren't sure if it was broken or not. I took him home after all the drilling and filling. At first I thought his front leg was broken, so I used part of a nile file and some vet wrap to make a splint. But later in the day I realized it wasn't the front part of the leg, it was his shoulder or upper arm that was broken. It is very swollen, but he is in good spirits and eating well.

After I got home I remembered that just before the dentist arrived I heard someone walking in gravel, thinking it was them I looked around and all I saw was a man in a blue shirt walking on the sidewalk. I have a feeling, he dumped the kitten there. I didn't hear any meowing until right after I saw the man, and I had been sitting there for 20 minutes. The bench I was sitting on was behind a trellis and lots of plants, which blocked my view from where the kitten was.

I have him confined to a large box with a sleeping area and litter box so he can recover. I had him on my lap while I was playing super mario brothers, so I named him Luigi. Hopefully Luigi will get better. He's very loving and cuddly.
